Artist: Juan Calogero

I haven't been able to find out much info about the artist Juan Calogero, or even much of his art, but I love the print shown in Jonathan Adler's book and when I went looking for it I managed to find this one instead, which is also great.

hi Wayne

longtime no see!! Juan is also known as Jean, a legacy from France I guess. I found this about him:" Jean Calogero was born in Sicily in 1922. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania and the Academie des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France. He is best known for his Surrealistic and Genre pieces. He was awarded the Grand Silver Medal by the City of Paris in 1957. He lived and worked for many years in Paris and Italy, but also exhibited in the United States in Los Angeles and New York.
He died in 2001." You will find moreabout him on thenet under this name and more of his lovely paintings!!

Love the album cover below, too, though I'd never seen before - it's mad!!
